Sealed units
A sealed unit is a construction of 2 panes of glass spaced apart with an aluminium spacer bar made to form a cavity between the panes. An edge sealant is applied to the four sides to form a hermetic seal. A desiccant is incorporated in the spacer bar to dry up any residual moisture.
All our sealed units are manufactured in house. Our spacer bar comes in various colours and sizes from 4m up to 20m in silver, black, white, bronze or gold.
Taping is applied as standard.
Any combination of glasses can be made using low E, safety glasses laminated, fire glass, anti-sun, self-cleaning, acoustic and decorative.
Argon gas filling is available to reduce the U-value of the unit.
All units tested to BS EN 1279 carrying a 5 year guarantee.
Overall sizes from 12m to 28m We can also insert old traditional style leads into double glazed sealed units.
Our usual turn-around is 2 – 3 days however we offer a same-day service on standard units.
